First week

The first week has passed and we have already done a lot of things. I even have the feeling that we're here almost two weeks already!
Sunday:
Today we had to get up very early. We went watching sharks. We also saw a little islands with seals and one with all kind of birds. In the afternoon we went to the beach. Sleeping! But we didn't watch the time so almost everrone was sunburned.
Monday:
Today was our first day of school on the Emil Weder High School. We started with a welcomes assembly. The whole school sang songs and a teacher read out the bible. After the assembly all students went to their lessond. Only the buddies and we stayed behind. They had prepared a little breakfast for us! Before we went to the lessons my buddy came to me with an other African student and told me the other was from now on my buddy. That was a bit strange. Nevetheless I went with him to the lessons.The lessons here are almost the defenition of chaos.
Tuesday:
Second schoolday and again the lessons were very chaotic. In the afternoon we went home with our buddies. His hous wasn't that bad to live in. It looked like a bungalow, only not that clean. They were even enlarging their house! We just walked in the mountains, listend to music and played games. It was a nice afternoon.
Wednesday:
Today we went visiting two primary schools in the townships with Ajax Cape Town. In the first primary school all the children wanted pictures with us. The first pictures were fun to make, only later it became a kind of iriitating because then the same children asked you over and over again. I even got the feeling that I had become an attraction. On the second primary school, the students were more into soccer than into us. This was nice because they didn't gave me the feeling that I was some attraction. On the planning was also going into the township, but it was too dangerous for that.
In the afternoon we went to Stellenbosch. This was very different from the townships because Stellenbosch is very rich. Here you saw a lot of white people while in the townships you saw none. We drove further to Franschenhoek and ate there.
