- Day 1 -
One word to describe today? Long. Long and boring. It was the first time for me traveling by plane, so I was a bit nervous. In the plane we all had our own tv screen on which we could see movies and play games. Flying is actually really funny. Our first plane had delay so to catch our next plane, we had to run. Unnecessary because when we sat in our next plane, almost three hours had passed before we finally where in the air. When we arrived in Cape Town, it was already night (almost 24 hours later). On the airport the African exchange students were all waiting for us. My buddy was a not so tall boy. All Africans weren't that tall actually. We still had to drive two hours to our hostel. While we were very tired, the Africans were full of energy so that was a bit irritating. Before we could sleep when we had arrived, our escorts told us that we had to get up at 4:45 am next day. Lovely.
